Christian spent fourteen years in title and settlement work in Colorado before founding CORDIW LLC. Most of that time was spent doing one thing: making sure the money and the paperwork arrived at the closing table at the same moment.

The move into online escrow came from watching the same failures repeat outside of real estate. A buyer wires $80,000 for a piece of equipment and gets a photograph. A seller ships a watch and the payment is reversed six weeks later. Neither party did anything foolish — they simply had no neutral party standing between them.

Cordiw was built to be that party. Every file is assigned to a named escrow officer who reads the instructions before they are signed, verifies the parties before funds are accepted, and answers the phone when either side calls. There is no automated release, no algorithm deciding when a buyer has been satisfied, and no incentive on our side for the deal to go one way or the other.

We are paid the same whether the buyer accepts or the seller gets refunded. That is the entire point of hiring us. Christian Jensen
